I find myself riveted to the news of this manhunt. I search for every bit of news regarding this manhunt. Why, some may ask? Because Vicky’s decision whether impulsively or well calculated has ramifications. Somehow, I feel compassion for Vicky White and the decision she has made to leave her life, her mom, her job and everything that was familiar to her to run away with Casey White. I remember not the incident but clearly the words as the Holy Spirit said to me, “Instant gratification makes for long-term ramifications.” I didn’t quite understand all that the Holy Spirit was revealing to me at that time, but over the years, boy oh boy, did I not only see but experience the ramifications of my instant gratification.
I feel compassion for her, because I myself have made decisions that seemed good to me and good for me at the time. Oh, I didn’t run away with a man, but I did things in my life out of instant gratification which makes for long-term ramifications.
What Vicky doesn’t realize is that what at the time seemed like a great idea — to trade stability for someone you feel like you have to be with, will either end up in her life being taken if she chooses not to surrender if caught and told to surrender her weapons and she chooses not to. What seemed like the perfect love scenario could cause her to go back to the very detention center as a prisoner where she once was in charge. What seemed like the perfect love scenario could cause her to be on the run for the rest of her life. That is what instant gratification does — it comes along with long-term ramifications. Help her Lord.
One may say to themselves and to others, that they would never do that. I beg to differ. The lifestyle of instant gratification is alive and coming to a house near you or your house. I have been told that I can be judgmental at times and to the person(s) who have said that about me, you may be right. However, when I look at and have accepted the role of a Prophet, I realize that I am a mouthpiece/spokesperson for God. My assignment is to admonish, warn, direct, encourage, intercede, teach and counsel; to bring the word of God to the people of God and call the people to respond. With that said, I say to others, Do not be quick to say what you would or wouldn’t do.
Vicky White was presented the same package that Lucifer presented to Eve and the same package we are presented with at an accelerated pace. The fruit looked good to Eve. A good life and happiness are what Lucifer, now Satan presented to Vicky. I could well imagine the scenarios of happiness that Satan with his vain imaginations promised Vicky. What Satan did not tell Vicky was the long-term ramifications that came with the fruit for Eve, the good life of love and laughter Satan probably showed Vicky White.
Again, it may never be Vicky White’s scenario for anyone reading this article but think of the many times we have ourselves deal with instant gratification.
Instant gratification may come in the form of enjoying a second or third serving of that good food. Instant gratification could also come in the form of lying on that job application. Instant gratification could also come up by telling off that boss, driving 20 miles over the speed limit, overspending, and the list goes on, without us truly having the essential understanding that the long-term ramifications are going to come.
My prayer for Vicky, myself and all others who have and will continue to operate in instant gratification is that we stop and remember that all of these instant gratifications do indeed have long-term ramifications. My prayer is that we remember to go to God when we are presented with a temptation for instant gratifications and ask that the Holy Spirit help us to navigate our way out of them. My final prayer for Vicky is that she surrenders her life to the Lord and watch Him work it out for her. He truly is a good, good Father. #Godzmouthpiece #runningaftergod4real
